I was recently able to attend a special event at the Harvard Square Hotel: the ribbon cutting ceremony officially marking the re-opening of the building after our renovations. Cambridge Mayor Henrietta Davis had the honor of cutting the ribbon which was located at the top of the new Arrowstreet designed steel, stone, and glass monumental stair.  Collegiate Hospitality’s CEO Richard Carbone, Mayor Davis, Cambridge City Councilor Kenneth Reeves, Councilor Marjorie Decker, and City Manager Robert Healy all praised the transformation of the old motel to the new boutique hotel.

It was an excellent opportunity to view our work through the eyes of others.  We’ve worked very closely with Harvard Real Estate and Capital Planning over the past year, from early concept through design and construction.  During that time, we’ve been through all the demolition and dust, seeing the building change bit by bit.  This event was an opportunity to step back and watch reaction of others experiencing the transformation for the first time.

Check out the hotel’s website for more information and images.
