Join Emily Grandstaff-Rice at the 2016 AIA National Convention in Philadelphia.

Along with Carole Wedge, Amy Kalar, and Kate Schwennsen, Emily will be presenting the panel on Establishing the Business Case for Women in Architecture on Thursday, May 19th at 2pm.

The presenters will be discussing the role that women play to ensure that architecture is a diverse, prosperous profession. The session’s four sections will address the importance of empowering women, advocating for them, investing in them, and promoting them into leadership roles.

  • Understanding trends of women in architecture school and practice
  • Identifying the root causes of what can hold women back from leadership positions or cause them to leave the profession
  • Establishing the business case for women in architecture
  • Defining concrete measures firms can take that will directly support and retail women in the profession

Emily will be tweeting from this year’s AIA Convention; check out @Arrowstreet, and hashtags #AIACon16 and #BusinessCaseWIA to follow along.
