Robert S. Holt, AIA

Rob Holt possesses expertise in many different building types, including retail developments, cinema complexes, hotels, academic facilities, housing communities and parking structures. He has directed teams through all phases of architectural work on a wide range of complex architectural projects, both in the US and overseas. He believes that the success of a project depends on close attention to client and user needs, as well as strong leadership at all levels of project management including design, production, construction, and cost control. He holds a B.A. from Brown University and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University.

James P. Batchelor, FAIA,
President & Chief Executive Officer

Jim Batchelor's design work includes high-rise urban office buildings and housing in prominent urban locations, mixed use and infrastructure in sensitive historic settings, and buildings designed to fit innovative organizations' programs. His approach translates an understanding of occupants' requirements into designs that are fresh, creative and compatible with the surrounding community — here in the US and internationally. He has taught at the MIT Center for Real Estate and serves on the Advisory Board of the Harvard Graduate School of Design Executive Education Program. A former Loeb Fellow at Harvard University, he holds Masters degrees in both Architecture and City Planning from MIT.

Scott Pollack

Scott Pollack directs a wide range of architectural, permitting and planning projects for both commercial developers and public agencies. He believes that design is a process for discovering unexpected solutions to problems which are difficult to identify. His interests span the life of a project, from conceptualization, to understanding the owners' financial expectations and assessing the dynamics of the permitting process through the final leasing coordination of large retail projects. His clients include entrepreneurial retail and mixed use developers, academic institutions with commercial real estate holdings and government agencies. He holds a BSAD and a Master of Architecture degree from MIT.

Linos M. Dounias, AIA

Linos Dounias has played a leadership role many of the firms' most significant projects. His involvement has covered master planning, program generation, design detail, and construction issues. He is familiar with a range of project types including educational, military, single family, multi-family and elderly residential, office, laboratory, commercial, and retail. In addition to his technical expertise, he is noted for his practical, client-oriented approach to problem solving. A native of Greece, he holds a B.A. in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois.

John W. Cole, AIA

John Cole specializes in planning and architecture for commercial development. His goal is to add value to his clients' properties and to enhance the communities in which they are built. Many of his projects have been cited for innovative solutions by national publications and design awards. He has led much of Arrowstreet's work abroad in South America, Europe, and Iceland. He was formerly a professional ice hockey player for a European team. He holds a B.A. from Yale University and a Master of Architecture from Washington University.

Robert Lowe

Bob Lowe created Arrowstreet Graphic Design (AGD) to bring Arrowstreet's award winning in-house graphic design to a larger commercial, academic and institutional market, As AGD's director, he seeks challenging projects in print, web and environmental graphics. Bob's particular expertise lies in the conceptual and graphic design aspects of large and small scale mixed-use retail and other commercial projects. His projects include top to bottom graphic and interior design for major food stores, retail centers, entertainment complexes, and cruise ships in the US and abroad. He holds a B.A. from the Massachusetts College of Art.

Brad Edgerly, AIA

Brad Edgerly brings a passion for site-planning to his projects. He serves as the senior designer for a wide range of architectural work varying in size and function, from large urban mixed-use projects to mid-size hospitality projects to smaller residences. All Brad's work reflects his keen interest in the principles of green building. Also common to his projects is a collaborative approach which involves each project's clients and consulting professionals in a team-oriented design process. He holds a B.A. from the University of Florida and a Master of Architecture degree from MIT.

James D. Flajnik, AIA

Jim Flajnik is the Principal-in-Charge for many of Arrowstreet's larger and more complex projects. He has extensive experience in a wide range of building types, including high rise commercial, office, medical office, retail developments, hotels, parking structures, industrial projects and interior architecture. His work often involves mixed-use projects with fast-track or phased construction, scheduled to deliver income-producing space at the earliest possible date. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.

Richard I. Krauss, AIA

Richard Krauss, a founder of Arrowstreet and its non-profit affiliate, the Environmental Design Group Inc., practices design and planning at all scales. From the urban design of city districts to the design of individual child care centers, he has developed pioneering techniques for executing complex projects with the effective involvement of multiple clients, for writing design guidelines, and for utilizing computers in architecture. A former director of the Urban Design program at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, he holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from MIT.

Robert J. Slattery, AIA, Chairman

Bob Slattery's architectural work includes large mixed-use urban developments, large and small hotels, private and institutional housing, retail and office complexes, as well as hand crafted barns. He has developed excellent relationships with demanding government review boards and other public interest groups, resulting in significant project time and money savings for Arrowstreet clients. His land use planning and mixed-use projects have gained national recognition for their innovative ideas and efficient design solutions. He takes special pride in the loyalty of Arrowstreet's many repeat clients. He holds a B.S. in Engineering from Notre Dame and a Master of Architecture from MIT.

George T. Tremblay, AIA

George Tremblay has led numerous teams in commercial and institutional development projects throughout the United States and abroad. His goal is to create value and build community by balancing his passion for attentive client service with excellence in design. His completed projects include award-winning waterfront developments, hospitality, residential, retail, academic, office and scientific research facilities. He is particularly interested in mixed-use projects where the value of the end product exceeds the sum of the individual components. George earned his BSAD and Master of Architecture degrees from MIT.

Kevin Nice, AIA, LEED AP

For more than 20 years, Kevin Nice has consulted on, conceptualized, and supervised projects of all scales. His experience across the range of commercial architecture includes retail, office, and mixed-use projects that have positioned him to work on today’s complex developments. With international experience and a strong background in urban design, he is well versed in creating projects specific to location, market, and community contexts. His projects have won numerous design awards. Kevin has a Bachelor of Urban Design degree from the University of Cincinnati.

Patricia Cornelison, AIA, LEED AP

Pat Cornelison has led numerous award-winning projects at Arrowstreet and has been crucial in implementing the firm’s green design work. Her background in Fine Arts and Industrial Arts has given her a broad understanding of design concepts, materials, and construction that generates creative and practical solutions to complex design problems. Pat served as the lead designer on Boston's first Platinum LEED certified building, the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter, and has worked on several sustainable international projects. She received her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dennis Carlberg, AIA, LEED AP

Dennis Carlberg has worked extensively with Arrowstreet's international clients and has been a leading voice for sustainable design at Arrowstreet. Dennis has designed a wide range of project types, from mixed-use to retail centers, housing projects, hotels, theaters, and concert halls. His work emphasizes finding the appropriate design balance between commercial necessities, community goals, and environmental needs. In 2000, he established Arrowstreet’s Sustainable Design Committee to educate and promote the use of sustainable design strategies firm-wide. He earned a Master of Architecture degree from MIT.
