The Boston Collegiate Charter School asked Arrowstreet to program their space needs, help find a site for a new school, and design a building into which they could phase the growth of their increasingly successful, academically focused 5-12th grade school. Their challenging program included two critical elements: an arrival area with a strong sense of identity and a place for students and faculty to gather for meetings before the construction of a gym / auditorium in a subsequent phase. Arrowstreet’s solution was a contemporary glass-and-steel addition, which serves as the central arrival area as well as a place for school assemblies. The new school includes 27 classrooms for 400 students, a library, computer lab, art room with workshop, and a science lab.

We had a terrific experience working with Arrowstreet. It was by far the most successful component of our facility project. Every member of the Arrowstreet team we interacted with was responsive to our needs, understood our school well, and designed us a beautiful school. We continue to get compliments every week on the beauty of our building!
