Hyde Square Task Force (HSTF) serves over 1200 youth and their families each year in programs. Arrowstreet designed renovations to their Youth Development Center, creating dynamic spaces for learning—from gaining academic skills to developing talents in a wide variety of performance arts, celebrating particularly Latin and Afro-Latin culture. The three floors in the approximately 15,000 square foot building include special facilities for music and dance, as well as classroom and administrative office space. The building now is accessible to all.

In addition, Arrowstreet has also been assisting Hyde Square Task Force as it works toward the renovation of the former Blessed Sacrament Church. This generously sized space has the potential to be a significant performance space and offer a range of events, programs, and community activities. HSTF has been leading a renaissance of this community since the 1980’s, creating artistic opportunities, supporting artists and more broadly family and youth. HSTF has guided the transformation of the block on which the Youth Development Center and former Church stand into a successful mixed use campus hub for this economically and culturally diverse neighborhood.

Quote

“We are incredibly excited about Hyde Square Task Force’s future in our beautifully renovated Youth Community Development Center. It is a space that truly inspires creativity for our students and staff. We would not have been able to complete this project without Arrowstreet’s support and design expertise.”
