Arrowstreet designed a comprehensive environmental graphics program for MIT’s Baker House residence hall in collaboration with print design from Hecht Design. The landmark building was designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto in 1949 and, in anticipation of its 50th year anniversary,  underwent a complete restoration and renovation by Perry Dean Architects of Boston.

The new sign system blends materials, shape, color and typography appropriate for the existing architecture. Sign types include ADA compliant signs for all designated interior rooms and spaces and donor recognition plaques.
