Rock removal blasting is currently underway at the New KIPP Academy Lynn site in Lynn, MA. The effort has been ongoing for a little over a month and will likely be completed in the next two weeks. In the area of the site that will eventually become a practice soccer field, large amounts of rock were required to be removed so that the school could have a proper playing surface. All of the rock that is being blasted as part of the field excavation is being processed on site and will be used as gravel fill below the building foundations. This is a great sustainable use for the raw materials that were readily available on the site.
