The first Project Bread Fall Harvest Fest was held in support of their Chefs in Schools program, and we were honored to be in attendance. Our recently completed Fenway High School project is the test kitchen for the Chefs in Schools program with Boston Public Schools. The Fenway High cafeteria is where they are continuously trying out new recipes and getting first hand feedback from students.
We enjoyed sharing our excitement about the new kitchen at the Fenway High School, hearing first hand stories about the students loving the new Commons where they can eat healthy, tasty food and socially gather to interact with staff and friends. To my enjoyment, all the delicious food served at the event were recipes that the students are enjoying on their school lunch menu—as you can image, everyone there was reminiscing about our own days of underwhelming cafeteria school. We are very glad to be a small part of this program that offers a menu to be proud of.
