Making Pet Friendly Design Friendly for Everyone

Arrowstreet Interior Designer, Michelle Spencer, along with 2022 Emerging Leaders class participants will explore how designing pet friendly spaces benefits their humans too! They will discuss amenities that make the built environment more welcoming to pets, discuss the impact of the pandemic on our pets, as well as review material and finish considerations to keep in mind.

Beyond ADA – Equitable Design
Thursday, December 8 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM

Arrowstreet Interior Designer, Tora Coursey, along with 2022 Emerging Leaders class participants will lead the discussion on the topic of discussion on equitable design considerations. What does it truly mean to design equitably? An overview and comparison between ADA, Universal Design, and Inclusive Design with suggestions for going beyond the current guidelines to provide a more equitable experience through design decisions.

Gain knowledge of the history of ADA and current applicable laws and codes. Learn industry-specific codes and creative design approaches to making spaces more adaptable. Understand the benefits of designing with accessibility in mind and post pandemic ADA topics. CEU: 1 IDCEC credit offered
