This week we dropped off gifts for the 23 children we adopted this holiday season through the Wonderfund to Department of Children and Families (DCF). Arrowstreeters collectively donated almost $10,000 to children who needed someone to show them that they were thinking of them, stranger or not.

We chose the Wonderfund this year because I was a foster child when I was nine until almost 11. I do not remember everything, but one thing that always stuck with me was older kids saying they would rather be given gifts from strangers instead of their fosters because they did not want to get attached and have a false sense of security, then get a new placement. So, giving these gifts with no expectations means a lot.
