We were delighted to host Lacy Sanders from the Woodward School For Girls in Quincy for a two-week immersive internship at Arrowstreet! Guided by Shonali Rajani, AIA, LEED AP and Andrew Plumb from our Academic team, Lacy explored schools and playgrounds around Boston, conducting research on experiential play environments. She thoughtfully transformed her findings into a conceptual design for a new playground.
Applying hands-on model-making techniques she learned during her internship, Lacy created a dynamic playground model featuring moving elements carefully designed for younger children—demonstrating a strong understanding of inclusive and responsive design. We truly enjoyed working with Lacy and appreciate her energy, curiosity, and innovative ideas!
