Breakfast with Mayor Curtatone
Wednesday morning Arrowstreet held our annual event to honor Somerville Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone. Co-hosted by John Cole, an Arrowstreet Partner, and Adam Dash, Esq., the fundraiser affords local business leaders and residents the opportunity to speak with Mayor Curtatone about the community, real estate, and plans for the City’s future.
Red Sox Opening Day
While we wished we were at the game for the Sox’s first game of the season (and finally, the first win!), we celebrated Opening Day in style in the office, complete with our favorite themed ice cream flavors. We also raised money for the Jimmy Fund through their Rally Against Cancer campaign.
Icelandic Institute of Natural History
Arrowstreet, as part of an international design team, created a sustainable master plan for a mixed-use community on a spectacular hilltop site in Garðabær outside of Reykjavik. The Icelandic Institute of Natural History was the first office/lab building to be built in the project, and is already getting noticed around the world for both its beautiful design and its sustainability features. Park Lane Seaport Sold
In a deal closed on December 9th, a group of investors represented by JPMorgan Asset Management purchased the Arrowstreet-designed Park Lane Seaport. The 465 residences, arranged in two towers of rental units, opened in 2006, targeting young, urban professionals looking for more space and flexibility than what the city’s 19th-century housing stock can provide. Prestigious Honor for Artists for Humanity EpiCenter
The Artists for Humanity EpiCenter was chosen by Leveraging Investments in Creativity (LINC) and MetLife Foundation to receive a 2010 MetLife Foundation Innovative Space Award. The awards “recognize outstanding efforts in the design and development of affordable space for artists”. Designed by Arrowstreet, the facility opened in 2004 as the first LEED Platinum building in Boston. This prestigious award is another for the EpiCenter’s extensive collection. Congrats to all!…
