One of the largest climbing gym operators in the country, Central Rock Gym’s Boston location is tucked between the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the Leonard P. Zakim Bridge.

Designed exclusively for bouldering and personal fitness, the facility pairs a compact footprint with an outsized impact on the North Station neighborhood. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer sweeping views of the Boston skyline, while the location provides convenient access to public transportation and the city’s historic North End.

This project marks Arrowstreet’s third collaboration with Central Rock, following successful openings in Manhattan’s Upper West Side and Harvard Square in Cambridge. Each facility is laser-focused on climbing, fitness, and community.

Bouldering, a form of climbing that doesn’t require ropes or harnesses, is one of the most accessible ways to get started. Walls are 12 to 15 feet high, with ultra-soft 20-inch floor padding for protection. Color-coded handholds are reset every 4–6 weeks to challenge everyone from beginners to advanced climbers. It’s a space designed for fitness, fun, and inclusivity — built to support a vibrant, active community.
