The new interior design for this modern, waterfront office tower is anchored by two features: a custom, curved accent wall depicting an interpretation of an oceanographic map and a series of wood walls comprised of faceted slats framing the elevators. Taking cues from these key elements, the signage and wayfinding concept provides a visual connection between the two. Wall mounted signs integrate the faceted profile for a design that is sleek and unexpected. Elevator and tenant signs at the curved accent wall were designed to minimize interference with the architecture while still providing directional information at key decision points. Subtle integration of nautical symbols in place of traditional arrows provides an additional connection to the ocean theme. The full program includes interior and exterior tenant signage, elevator identifications and level directories, code-required room signage, wayfinding directionals, and movable signage for temporary messages.
