The East Boston Library is the newest branch library in the Boston Public Library system. Arrowstreet served as a consultant to the architect, William Rawn Associates, to develop exterior environmental graphics including interpretive panels and engraved pavers. The interpretive panels located in the Library’s stormwater garden feature a series of custom graphics and symbols that explain the features and benefits of the garden. Twenty-one engraved pavers line the Reading Porch near the library entrance and identify the top countries of origin of East Boston residents.
