As part of the firm’s role as master planner and architect, Arrowstreet designed the parking garage for Waterfront Square at Revere Beach, a transit-oriented, mixed-use development. The new parking garage is constructed from precast concrete, aluminum, glass curtain wall, and architectural metal mesh. The seven-level structure accommodates 1,500 cars and includes a new entrance for the existing MBTA Wonderland Station with a “kiss and ride,” as well as a new covered busway. Sustainable features include bicycle storage, recharge stations for electric vehicles, and infrastructure for a future photovoltaic solar array. The design was completed on an aggressive schedule to take advantage of federal funding opportunities.
