Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills Opens

On Saturday, June 28, I had the pleasure of attending the open house for the new Mirbeau Inn & Spa at the Pinehills. Our team has been working on the project for a little over two years and to see it all come together was a tremendous experience. The open house was an invitation-only event for key individuals involved in the project and in the local market to see a preview of the property before the official opening on Sunday. Members of the staff were available to give tours and answer questions about the property as well as the new Le Bistro & Wine Bar and Henri-Marie menus. Executive Chef Stephen Coe oversaw the preparation of a wide variety of hors d’oeuvres to give guests an introduction to the new menu and I can assure you that everything was delicious!

Mirbeau Inn & Spa Opening This Weekend

If you’re an avid reader of the Boston Globe Sunday magazine, as I am, you’ve probably noticed a rendering of a Monet-inspired luxury boutique has appeared on the back cover for several weeks now. The hotel, the Mirbeau Inn & Spa at the Pinehills, will open this weekend on June 29th. If you’re looking to vacation in Plymouth or in the Cape Cod vicinity, we highly recommend checking it out. The hotel, with its 14,000 square foot, full-service spa, fine dining, and lush grounds inspired by Monet’s impressionist landscapes, set the perfect tone for a relaxing vacation. Our team has greatly enjoyed designing this amazing new destination on the South Shore, and we’d love to hear what you think after you visit.

Mirbeau Construction Update

Construction continues on Arrowstreet’s newest resort hotel. Located at The Pinehills in Plymouth Massachusetts, The Mirbeau Inn and Spa will be the second property in the Mirbeau brand conceived and developed by Gary and Linda Dower. The Plymouth property, like the flagship in Skaneateles NY, is inspired by French country architecture focused on a signature garden with ponds modeled after the Monet gardens of Giverny. Arrowstreet worked closely with the Dowers to design a property which would expand on the brand signatures of the original while developing a distinctive and unique appeal of its own…

Renovations at the Harvard Square Hotel

In June of last year, Arrowstreet completed an interiors renovation of the Harvard Square Hotel’s entry lobby and guestrooms. Our aim was to create a refreshed look in contemporary finishes, with a signature frosted glass rail staircase leading from the Mt. Auburn Street entry up to the concierge. To follow on the internal renovations, Arrowstreet is now assisting the hotel in a visual identity and rebranding effort on the building’s exterior…

Women’s Lunch Place Volunteer Session

On a recent Saturday morning, Arrowstreet sent three volunteers to help staff the early shift at the Women’s Lunch Place. A privately funded, non-profit organization operated almost entirely by volunteers, the Women’s Lunch Place provides meals and other services on a daily basis to the homeless and underprivileged women of Boston. Their kitchen and cafeteria are housed in a pleasant and brightly-lit space which Arrowstreet helped renovate in 2011 in the basement of the Church of the Covenant on Newbury Street…

Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills Groundbreaking Ceremony

On April 4th, the Mirbeau Inn and Spa at The Pinehills in Plymouth, MA officially kicked off with a groundbreaking ceremony. The event was hosted by Pinehills, LLC President John Judge and Managing Partner Tony Green.  The well-attended gathering included Gary and Linda Dower, the principals of Mirbeau Hospitality Services, as well as several town and state officials including Rep. Vinny deMacedo, R-Plymouth, and Rep. Tom Calter, D-Kingston, all of whom praised the arrival of this resort property to the area. As a part of the design team, it was a pleasure to see how warmly the Dowers and the project have been embraced by the Pinehills community…

Updates @ALISconference

Yesterday I attended the opening session of The Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) in Los Angeles, and I wanted to share some early themes from the convention. Attendance at the conference is back up to 2,500 (similar to 2007), which some attendees see as a sign that optimism has returned to the market…

A Time to Look Back

The start of a new year brings optimism and refreshed energy for the future, and also a chance to look back on accomplishments from the previous year. 2012 was a busy year at Arrowstreet. We celebrated the opening of two new charter schools in the Boston metro area, the corporate headquarters for Rechler Equity in Long Island, White Elephant Village Inn in Nantucket, a T-station garage and cool new bridge in Revere, and an LL Bean store in Danbury. The Arrowstreet construction banner was flying high in 2012…
