The White Elephant Village Inn

The weather may be turning gray and wintry outside, but the inviting warmth of the White Elephant Village Inn is a perfect getaway. The History of the Canoe Place Inn

I’ve been working lately with Brad Edgerly, David Bois, and Sean Selby on rehabilitating the Canoe Place Inn in the Hamptons. Prominently located overlooking the Shinnecock Canal in Hampton Bays, it has traditionally been a gateway to Hampton Bays when traveling west across the Shinnecock and is the last building you see before entering Shinnecock Hills travelling down the Old Montauk Highway…

Harvard Square Hotel

Arrowstreet’s design for the Harvard Square Hotel has recently been realized with the re-opening and re-launch as a boutique hotel following the three month renovations. A complete transformation of the hotel, we worked with Harvard to update the image and improve the overall guest experience. To improve the entrance to the hotel, Arrowstreet established a connection to the street and created a lobby seating area with panoramic views of Harvard Square. At the street entrance, we designed stone and glass monumental stair to invite guests from the Mt. Auburn street entry to the lobby and reception area. Integral to the renovation was the complete reconfiguration of the lobby levels, doubling space available to guests to create contemporary, comfortable public space…

Campus Hospitality

Where do you stay when you need a place to spend the night and you are near a school or university?  Arrowstreet has just completed construction on two such projects and is in the midst of design for another.  The University of Massachusetts in Lowell and Harvard University are giving new thoughts to the potential market for guests who wish to stay on-campus, and they are undertaking designs which transform their offerings.  Another related example is our recent work for Phillips Academy Andover at the Andover Inn
