Not an ordinary rock climbing gym, Brooklyn Boulders is more of a community center; mixing work and play in exciting new ways. In addition to the world-class climbing walls, yoga classes, and weight training rooms, members have access to the much-publicized “Active Collaborative Workspace” where stand up desks and standard tables and chairs provide plenty of space for spreadsheets and business meetings. The crossover activities also include party rooms, meeting spaces, coffee bars, fireplace lounges, as well as the occasional TEDx presentation space. The resulting space blends edgy climbing with art, culture, music and entrepreneurship.
