Year in Review – 2015

This past year was one of growth here at Arrowstreet. As we celebrated our one-year anniversary at 10 Post Office Square, we also expanded our office with the opening of the “south-side.” We’ve grown our team, adding creative staff to our architecture, graphics, interiors, administrative, and marketing departments, including a new Director of Interiors. We’ve pushed ourselves professionally, celebrated LEED certifications / newly…

Studio Traditions: Yankee Swap

This week, Arrowstreet was filled with holiday cheer! We gathered in our VooDoo Lounge for eggnog, cookies, candy canes, and our 2nd Annual Yankee Swap. Over 30 members of our staff participated in this year’s event, and much fun was had by all in the competitive gift swap.  An amaryllis plant and a Starbucks gift card cleverly concealed between two…

Congratulations to our newest RA!

Congrats to Arrowstreet’s newest registered architect: Nicole Voss!  On the traditionally unlucky day of Friday the 13th, Nicole found out that she had passed her final ARE exam, especially impressive given that she only began the process in March. To acknowledge our new RAs, Arrowstreet honors them with $1,000 bonuses…and while it’s not in our office manual, a bottle of…

Arrowstreet Bake-Off!

The whole office was eager to try everything and we gathered in the kitchen after lunch for the tasting. The line stretched down the…

We were recently across the street from our studio, walking through the basement of one of the buildings at the old Fidelity block, (which will become the new Congress Square project), when we came across some drawings of the buildings…

Last week, we had Part 2 of our Conversation Series on “Project Delivery & Design Process,” which featured our graphic design studio’s work at the Boston Public Library. Our in-house graphics team works on a variety of environmental graphic design projects and comprehensive wayfinding programs. In addition to working on projects with the architecture team, we work independently on outside projects,…

Arrowstreet “Super” Bowl

This year for our annual bowling tournament Arrowstreet hosted our own version of a “Super” Bowl at Kings Boston.  Instead of throwing touchdowns and interceptions our caped crusaders rolled strikes and gutter balls.  The competition was fierce and the scores were so close but in the end the super team of Katie Ferrier, Brian Hilliard, Jonathan Garland, and Claes Andreasen…

Conversation Series Kick Off

Last month week we kicked off an office-wide Conversation Series on “Project Delivery & Design Process” with the first of five project case studies featuring Conservatory Lab Charter School. As part of Arrowstreet’s constant efforts to improve, this initiative focuses on our current methods for project delivery and the design process we utilize to get there. This first conversation was…
